Elevated Work Platform
Understand Working At Heights
Construction crews are often responsible for constructing buildings of great heights. Buildings often reach multiple stories which can be dangerous for construction workers to work on without the proper training. At Construction Workplace Safety Training Ltd. we offer a class called Working at Heights. In this class, we cover basic theory for people who must perform their jobs at incredible heights. Some topics included in this class are fall risks, fall arrest, general prevention, and safety procedures. This class includes a written assessment at the conclusion of the class for proper certification for people working at heights. This class will also go over basic theory of using harnesses as well as a hands on component for students to gain experience working with the proper harness and safety equipment.
Students often choose to combine their Working At Heights class with our Elevated Work Platform class. These two classes cover similar topics and pair quite nicely together. This class will cover the various types of platforms and lifts, including scissor lifts, that are commonly used on construction sites. In order to take this course, you must have already completed the Working At Heights class. The Elevated Work Platform class, aside from general theory discussed in the classroom, also includes a hands on application for students to practice the information they have learned. Construction Workplace Safety Training Ltd. is happy to offer both of these classes together for companies and organizations that commonly have tall construction projects.
